Nevermind this being January and snow not that long past, the weather yesterday was warm, breezy, and humid, complemented by the sound of a tornado siren in the evening. Interestingly, the sky above my home was mostly clear. There were dark clouds to the north and occasionally half the sky would fill with clouds, but then they would blow away quickly. By sunset, I could only see some distant, mostly white, fluffy clouds.
Unfortunately, a tornado did touch down in the north part of the city and caused damage, including some injuries. Though thankfully nobody was killed. You can see some photos of it at USA Today’s article and videos at AL.com.
