Too Much Snow

by Marie Culver on February 15, 2010

It’s been a cold winter in Alabama too and while all the snow this season doesn’t compare to what I’ve seen in a day living in Michigan, it’s still more snow than I like. I like being warm and snow is not close to warm. Fun to play with and beautiful to look at, but a problem when there’s stuff to be done that requires walking or driving through it. Especially in a place that isn’t used to getting much more than one “strong” round of snow – of approximately 6 inches.

Jokes aside, the little bit of snow down here poses a big ice risk when the weather doesn’t warm up like usual. It’ll melt during the day, but not evaporate before the temperature drops again. So after the initial enjoyment with the first couple rounds of it, worry follows about the impact on daily activities. The pictures in this post include shots from a couple days ago as well.
