This afternoon is the closing on the house we’re buying. I’ve been keeping myself relatively calm, or at least distracted, but this honestly is a stressful event. No matter how smoothly things may go.
With all things on track, we’ll being painting walls this weekend and moving over some minimal items. Things that either go in non-carpeted areas or can easily be displaced from the carpeted areas. Then next week will be about getting some people in to replace the carpets. That will leave replacing the stove at the last major, immediate change of what’s already in the house. Everything else is a matter of small fix-it projects and moving the rest of our stuff in. And of course, no longer being bound to the apartment.
So the next week or two is probably going to be as busy as the last week or two. Thankfully, we have willing family to help out. This would be a lot more difficult without support.
