Fun No-Kids Dinner

by Marie Culver on January 24, 2010

So the commercials for tasty 8oz slabs of meat from various restaurants has got to my husband and he decided we needed to go out for dinner together, minus the kids. Fortunately, my MIL lives nearby and loves to take the kids, so off we went for our second-ever visit to Logan’s Roadhouse.
First off, Logan’s Roadhouse is huge on peanuts, not neatly open it up and put the shell in the trash peanuts, but crack it open and toss it on the floor peanuts. There’s a huge barrel in the waiting room for you to raid while pondering the sanitation of a public peanut barrel, but eating from it nonetheless (hey, they are mildly salty). Waiting is short, service is friendly, and dinner great.
What I really like about them though, is their mini-bucket desserts. You get your choice of “Nutter Butter” Fudgeslide, Chocolate Brownie, or Strawberry Cheesecake, basically of a small version of that setup, and you get to keep the mini-bucket.
Logan’s Roadhouse might replace Outback Steakhouse as my favorite restaurant.
